REIKI WORKSHOPS

Reiki, pronounced “Ray-Key”, is a Japanese word that is often translated as “spiritually guided, universal life force energy”. “Rei” is defined as “spiritual consciousness” or “cosmic knowledge”, and “Ki” as “life force” .Reiki is a form of energy healing that involves the intentional placing of one’s hands on, or above, another’s body in order to let this universal life force energy, i.e, Reiki, flow through. This energy has been described in various cultures and traditions, the Chinese refer to it as “qi/chi”, and the Indian Hindus as “Prana”.

Dr. Mikao Usui rediscovered this ancient healing technique in the late 1800’s after deep personal reflection and spiritual pilgrimages. His personal story is referenced in the transference of the unique set of symbols that are now associated with his lineage of Reiki.

Reiki is nondenominational, nonsectarian, unitive, non dualistic, and can be used alongside any spiritual affiliation, faith and culture.

Reiki assists the body in its innate, natural healing powers, and works in harmony with any and all other healing modalities, both Eastern and Western.

Reiki has been divided into three attunements:

Reiki I- Self Healing

Reiki II- Healing of Others

Reiki Master- Healing of the planet

Reiki Master Teacher - Learning how to teach Reiki to others and give attunements.

REIKI 1 ATTUNEMENT:

Reiki 1 is about SELF healing, and learning the techniques of listening to your body, while offering hands on, healing touch for personal balance- i.e. clearing of stored trauma, negative energy, and old belief patterns.

The way I am facilitating the courses is either in person (if the individual lives in LA) or by sending a PDF copy of the Reiki 1 workbook for you to read at your own pace. Upon completion of the workbook, we will set up a day/time to do an attunement in REAL TIME. (If you have any questions that may arise during your course readings, you can always email me).

When we set up your attunement time- It will begin with a guided meditation and then I will follow with what is called your "attunement"- when I attune your body to receive the Reiki energy. The attunements involve putting the first set of Reiki symbols into each of your chakras. You will not know what these symbols are until you complete Reiki 2; this is to avoid having too much mental interference during your self-healing, it's all about FEELING the energy. This will complete your Reiki 1 attunement - and then I will send you your certificate, lineage sheet, and homework, which would need to be completed before doing your Reiki 2.

Homework:

1. 7 consecutive days of Reiki self-healing, completed 3 times - one for mind, one for body, one for spirit. They can be done consecutively- in 21 days, or spaced out. But each of the days within the 7 day increments MUST be done together, consecutively. This added requirement is to offer a sense of discipline to your self care practice, as well as integrate the healing work that you are doing in a more balanced and consistent manner.

2. After each self-Reiki healing, you are to journal about your experience. This is for you to navigate your healing journey and allow space for reflection - it is for you. It could be as short as a sentence or a 20 page analysis, whatever feels right for YOU. This journal may be helpful for you in seeing where your most profound energetic blocks are, and be a tool for you to assist others in the future. From my experience, the more we know ourselves, the more comfortable it is to create necessary boundaries and thus navigate and hold space for another.

Once this homework is completed, and if you feel ready to continue on the path of being a Reiki practitioner, then we can drop in and assess if you are ready to begin Reiki 2.

Payment: Reiki 1 is $311.

The reason for $311 is to bring conscious unity of the mind, body, and spirit into a singular mathematical placement of 1- complete essence of self. While each offers unique aspects and requires individual attention, all 3 are part of one whole, complete being, and therefore none can be separated or excluded from the healing of the person.

I believe everyone should have access to Reiki, and therefore I offer payment plans for all of my Reiki attunements-which I hope makes it accessible to more people, allowing the healing to spread more widely. It is more important to me that the information is available for those who are ready, and not deter anyone from learning and experiencing the power of their innate healing energy if and when they are ready. All I ask is that if you do want to set a payment plan, you be honest and upfront about what you can do, so that there is clarity moving forward on the exchange and we don't need to spend too much energy on it.
